Description

A clean fuel system is essential for maintaining maximum fuel efficiency in vehicles with modern gasoline engines and direct fuel injection. However, keeping systems clean is a challenge with current ethanol fuel blends such as E10, E15, and E85. SWEPCO 503 Premium Gasoline Improver eliminates problems by keeping fuel injectors, pumps, and other components with tight tolerances clean. Special chemistry removes gum, varnish, sludge, and carbon deposits in fuel systems and upper cylinder areas.

SWEPCO 503 Premium Gasoline Improver also protects expensive fuel injectors and pumps from mechanical and corrosive wear. Regular use keeps fuel systems in perfect condition. It is also effective for carburetor-based fuel systems.

KEY FEATURES

  • Increases the octane rating of gasoline
  • Protects against harmful deposits and corrosion caused by ethanol blends as high as E85
  • Cleans carbon, varnish, gum, and sludge from injectors, carburetors, intake valves, pistons, and other fuel system components for better combustion, maximum fuel efficiency, and significantly reduced exhaust emissions
  • Coats metal surfaces in fuel systems & storage tanks to prevent mechanical and corrosive wear and harmful rust
  • Prevents “phase inversion,” which causes absorbed water to shut down engines
  • Keeps fuel fresher… highly effective oxidation inhibitors improve storage stability and reduce octane loss in tanks
  • Easy to use—just add directly to individual or bulk fuel tanks
Recommended for all types of gasoline engines except marine two-stroke engines

DESCRIPTION & PURPOSE
SWEPCO 503 Premium Gas Fuel Improver is a unique blend of specialized heat-resistant solvents, highly effective rust and corrosion inhibitors, and other advanced additives, specifically developed to address water, corrosion, contamination, and performance issues in engines running on standard gasoline or gasoline/ethanol blends up to E85.

SPECIAL ETHANOL CHALLENGES
Most vehicles run on some form of ethanol today. Ethanol is alcohol derived from the processing of corn, barley, wheat, sugarcane, and other agricultural crops.

Although ethanol is a renewable energy source, it creates several challenges when blended with gasoline. Higher ethanol blends, such as E15 and E85, cause problems that even current premium gasoline additives cannot resolve:

  • Water: Ethanol absorbs water when stored in a fuel tank… the higher the ethanol content, the more water it absorbs. When the water percentage reaches 0.5%, it can cause a phenomenon known as “phase inversion,” where water and ethanol separate from the gasoline and sink to the bottom of the tank. This can prevent an engine from starting or cause a running engine to stall.
  • Corrosion: Without additional protection, the increased water content in ethanol will cause corrosion and rust in fuel systems.
  • Reduced efficiency: While ethanol increases the octane rating when added to gasoline, it only contains about 66% of the energy of gasoline, so overall, it degrades net fuel efficiency.
  • Less stable in storage: Gasoline/ethanol blends lose octane and degrade over time, remaining at their peak for only about 90 days. Using old fuel in car engines can increase fuel consumption, carbon deposits, carbon monoxide, and hydrocarbons.

If you have a diesel engine, we would be happy to refer you to SWEPCO 501 Premium Diesel Fuel Improver.

If you’re using a stahttps://stratson.nl/en/product/swepco-501-premium-diesel-fuel-improver-summer/ndard motor oil and want to upgrade to one of SWEPCO’s motor oils, you can add SWEPCO 502 Engine Oil Improver to your current motor oil. For even more improvements (and less oil consumption), you can switch to one of SWEPCO’s engine oils during your next oil change.
