Description

Lubrication using brushes, rags, gloves or other means is expensive, risky and ineffective. The lubricant forms a film on the surface which water vapour can penetrate and become trapped. Temperature changes cause condensation and rust starts to form from the inside. A wire rope appears to be in good condition, while corrosion and friction actually destroy it from the inside. Its service life is reduced and it becomes potentially dangerous. Even factory-lubricated wire rope requires regular re-lubrication. The MASTO Wire Rope lubricator: SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM

THE MASTO WIRE ROPE LUBRICATOR CONNECTS ALL TYPES OF STEEL WIRE INSIDE AND OUT

Only the MASTO Wire Rope lubricator penetrates all types of wire rope, such as non-rotating, Dyform and Closed Spiral with strong lubricants, under high pressure. NB. To achieve total penetration through a compact cable, the pressure in the chamber must be at least 20 bar (285 PSI). Even wire ropes that are exposed to severe surface wear will have a longer life when lubricated with the Masto. Stainless steel, galvanized and other special types of wire rope require the same amount of lubrication, because the friction is the same and corrosion can also occur.

EASY INSTALLATION, REGARDLESS OF THE WIRE ROPE POSITION

The Masto Lubricator is easy to use. Split seals are placed around the rope and held in place by the two halves of the lubrication chamber.
The unit is connected to a high-pressure lubrication pump via a flexible hose and lubricant is forced into the lubrication chamber.
The unit is anchored to a convenient, stationary object with two chains. The pump is started and the wire rope is pulled through the lubricator.

When using the MASTO Lubricator, the best results are obtained with the highest quality grease. Using SWEPCO 150 Wire Rope Grease will provide optimum protection for your wire ropes. SWEPCO 222 Sprayable EP Open Gear Lube, SWEPCO 723 HVG Anti-Wear Wire Rope Lubricant & SWEPCO 724 Ultra AW Wire Rope Lubricant can also be used.

Masto invented and patented the first wire rope lubricator in the world 44 years ago with only great success and we have only very satisfied customers world wide.

All our customers have experienced extreme extended wire rope life after lubricating their wire ropes internally with our Masto lubricator.

Masto is the only wire rope lubricator on the market that is lubricating and cleaning even the most compact non rotating/multi strand with ropes all diameters up to 155mm diameter internally by forcing out eventual dirt, water and old lubricant.

Masto is very simple, easy to use, handle and light in weight.

Masto does not need any additional groove cleaner and scraper plates. Scraper plates can and have destroyed several wire ropes and steel armoured umbilical cables earlier. The standard Masto seals in the lubricator will scrap off normal dirt, old lubricant and water from the wire rope surface and the high pressure as only Masto obtain in the lubricator will clean and lubricate the w. rope internally and externally, all in one operation, this is unique, see the proof in the attached video. Groove cleaners are not necessary.

Nearly all problems for a wire rope are internally due to internal friction and internal corrosion.

Other lubricator brands are only lubricating externally at the wire rope surface and this is of course completely useless, waste of time, lubricant and money.
