  • COMPANY

D&G Engineering started in 1992 with 4x4s, mainly focusing on challenges and trials involving winches.
The products they design and build are the result of extensive testing by using them for their intended purpose: extreme off-road use.
They can assist you with anything from a minor modification to the construction of the most extremely modified rally vehicles. They make no compromises on quality, enabling their customers to endure the most extreme trials with their vehicles.
Today, customers from all over Europe come to them with questions and desired improvements for their 4x4s.

  • CHALLENGE

Mr. Dieter Duytschaever, owner of D&G Engineering, noticed significant wear on differentials, regardless of the brand or type of oil he had used up to that point. Apart from the fact that this resulted in considerable overhaul costs, a logical consequence was the frequent breakdowns during races.

  • SOLUTION

Since 2015, they have been testing with SWEPCO 203 Moly Gear Lube ISO-1000. He wanted to see for himself whether SWEPCO could indeed make such a significant difference with their high-quality lubricants, as they claim. As well as whether it would offer more protection than the transmission oils used up to that point.

  • RESULTS

    • No failures due to differential problems have occurred since, resulting in additional points being scored in various rankings.
    • The high costs for differential overhauls have also no longer been an issue for the customers.
    • As these results are shared with other participants, the customer base has grown significantly as well.
  • COMMENTARY

“Over the years, we have tried all kinds of products from all the well-known brands to see if this problem could be solved. Unfortunately, we were never successful — until we started using SWEPCO 203 Moly Gear Lube SAE-250. Naturally, various partners are also experiencing the benefits that SWEPCO 203 SAE-250 brings them. We are now evaluating product by product how SWEPCO can contribute to further improvements. The next step in this process was taken in 2016 with SWEPCO 715 Power Steering Hydraulic Oil, and the initial experiences have been at the same exceptionally high level as with SWEPCO 203.” – Mr. Dieter Duytschaever, owner.

Southwestern Petroleum Corporation thanks D&G Engineering in Oosterzele, a SWEPCO partner since 2012, and Service Representative Frank Kleijn for this information. This is based on actual customer experiences.

Results in other applications may vary. Always consult OEM specifications for proper lubricant selection.
