SWEPCO 802 Open Gear Lube

Description

Lubricating open gears is often an unpleasant, messy job, requiring a bucket of sticky grease, a spatula and sometimes even heat to thin the lubricant. This is no longer the case with SWEPCO 802 Open Gear Lube. It makes lubricating open gears a clean task.

Tough Film Reduces Wear

SWEPCO 802 Open Gear Lube contains a special extreme pressure additive that helps pass the 4-gram Timken Load Test (43-lb lever for 30 minutes.) It forms a tough film on gears that must withstand heavy loads. Metal-to-metal contact is reduced, helping to extend gear life and reducing noise.

SWEPCO 802 Open Gear Lube Stays Put

Unlike heavier greases that are thrown off under their own weight, SWEPCO 802 will not flake off or drip. And with the SWEPCO spray method, you spray directly between the teeth. Bare spots are touched up without greasing the entire machine. This all helps to eliminate waste and mess.

All Purpose, All Temperature

SWEPCO 802 is profitable for all open gear applications such as shovels, draglines, gears, asphalt rollers, winches, cables, cams and drilling rigs. It is an all temperature lubricant. It withstands extreme cold, but also a high melting point of over 90°C (200°F). This wide temperature range eliminates dry gear start-ups.
